The Eucharist Begins with the Manger
You're so blessed father! May God bless you more. Amen
Honestly. I live day to day working, I'm tempted by all the countless isms, I cry, I'm left too tired to do anything when I have free time and find myself sitting in silence. Sadly, I don't have the ability to attend church either due to my work schedule, I've made a sort of alter in an attempt to worship Christ at home. I hope I can try to apply this mindset to my life more, and maybe one day come into communion with the church, or even more.
I can certainly appreciate carrying the legacy of others. In the Order of St. Lazarus I was invested with the fighting habit (cloak) of a deceased member. It was truly an honor and to learn about my predecessor and his legacy to the order.

I was taught at the consecration, to look at the Host and the Chalice and then put my head in my hands in prayer
One of the biggest mistakes was allowing people to receive in the hand. It has led to thinking the Eucharist is just ordinary bread I think of that poll and the amount of people who do not believe in the Real Presence
The bells are still important to emphasize transubstantiation
Every christian sins and csn be forgiven but if they do sin they are not considered true christians? I cant stand that logic. Its just so clearly a no true scotsman fallacy. It just forces the idea that christians are never bad people. I consider it dishonest and unrealistic, an attempt to keep christianity reputation pure.
Not kidding, just last Sunday, the lector said: “a reading from the second letter of St. Paul” and then commenced the reading😂. It was the 2 Corinthians, by the way 😂😂😂
How does a priest focus on the mass when he is having serious family or private issues to deal with.
i love that welcome home bit
95% of young males admit to masturbation. The other 5% are lying.
Super cringe.
I grew up on the Autism Spectrum (Asburgers syndrome) I hated going to church, I'm still trying to figure out why. May have been from overstimulation or sensory overload. My aunt had to force me to go. One time I was being extra stubborn one sunday morning and told her "No" When she told me to get into the car. She got so mad she threw a shoe at me. Yes that got into the car. Anyway, as the years went on I was in and out of church, I moved out at 27, lived an immoral life, took part in witchcraft and was demonically attacked in a dream. One day I felt God calling me back. After realizing I still wanted a Catholic wedding and that I deserved better I broke up with my then boyfriend(which was a year ago in July) And I have been attending mass every Sunday since August of 2023. I started dressing modestly to mass and I also want to start veiling as well and have asked my grandmother for one. I also pray the rosary daily. For me religon is the instructions I need and the spirituality just randomly came one day. I'm 30, kinda weird it took this long. 🤣🤣
Haters gonna hate. Pray for the haters! Love you Fr. Casey! Hang in there **HUGS**
So if someone views themselves as irredeemable... that is a person with a very low self esteem. Someone can view themselves as bad because of years of psychological abuse from others, especially if it came from their parents. Im not super religious, Im not entirely sure what I believe... but i find it hard to accept that someone suffering like this wouldnt be allowed in Heaven. Its never sat right with me that Heaven is always talked about like its a very hard place to get into. I dont understand that. I believe if you go through life being a good person, helping others, doing kind things... you should get into Heaven ... why would someone like that be sent to Hell to suffer for eternity just because they didnt do certain things Christians say we must do to avoid Hell, like accepting Jesus? What if you happen to die before you accepted but had been a good person and you just happened to die while you were still on the fence pondering things? You burn? What if you live somewhere where you just never get told about Jesus? Do you deserve to suffer for eternity for that? This is the part of the belief that gives me pause. I cant support a belief that makes a good afterlife such an exclusive hard to get in club... Its instilling in others to live righteously in fear of Hell rather than just being a good person and putting goodness into the world and that being a good path to everlasting life. That would be better to me.
Here’s another: “He removed the veal that vealed his eyes.” It also happens in hymns: “Let angels prostates fall.”
I’ve been watching your videos for almost 1-2 years now. Initially I started watching for the faith based comedy approach you seem to be able to give off (useless catholic facts, etc). Informative but funny. I want you to know I’m seriously considering Catholicism over my Protestantism.
God gave us an entire world full of beauty and miracles to enjoy. The Devil tries to show us a dark lonely dingy corner and tries to convince us that this is all there is.
What happened was worse than death and worse than genocide.
I couldn't help but burst out laughing when you asked "how's that working out?" It's super stressful everyday. It causes strain within the family at times. Spend a lot of time thinking about my spouse and offspring. I got a hereditary kind of anxiety and depression. Living my life like this certainly does not help that. All I could do was laugh when I heard your comment because sometimes I feel like I'm going to cry if I just don't laugh.
I’m so sorry to hear that. Life can be extremely difficult, particularly married and family life. While I can’t offer you any quick fixes, my hope is that you might find the message of this video helpful, that prayer, fasting, and almsgiving are ways to ground you in God and being true peace. You can do these things, in small doses, no matter your life.
Confession can give mercy doing sin and reasons for doing that won't leads to mercy of christ Adam reasoned their sin
Many are called but few are chosen. May God have mercy on us.
$200 a month but all your needs are met means you have more than $200 a month. What needs is exactly met for you? What foods do you eat? Is that that part of the budget?
I hope you don’t misunderstand the point I’m making here. I’m trying to suggest that I am “poor,” nor is this message for those who are really struggling. This message is for people who seek happiness in the material, pleasurable world. $200 is a lot of money for some people, but for a lot of people that’s not enough for one weekend. I’m speaking to them. My $200 covers toiletries, hair cut, personal items, leisure, entertainment, some clothing, going out to eat, and anything else that’s non essential. My life is not extravagant, but it is also not destitute either.
I want to be a friar but I’m In so much debt.
00:13 Oh dear... those are long toes you have. Must... not.. think.... of.... aaagghhh! 😊😊😊
Pls pray for me I am struggling with repetitive sin. Forgive sins lord..
The reason I have issues with the Eucharist being the literal body of Christ, is because if it truly does transform, then why can celiacs and gluten-intolerant people still not eat it without having issues? If it truly is turning to the body of Christ, shouldn't it be acceptable by all no matter allergy? Seeing the Catholic church says that gluten-free eucharist isn't valid, what do you tell those who want to partake but cant? Do they go to hell now?
The Eucharist is not the “literal” body of Christ. It is the sacramental presence of Christ. The physical nature of the bread does not change, only its essence.
In other words, and correct me if I am wrong Fr. Casey, your religion gives structure to your spirituality.
Yup, that’s what all religion is. It’s the practice of faith.
A priest friend of mine here in the Philippines died last June 14, 2024. He officiated the Wedding mass, and right after the Consecration, he suffered heart attack and died on the spot. He's only 44yrs old.
In many ways having faith is the direct opposite s having an open mind.
Yes. It’s making a claim and believing something. Having an open mind is the opposite of that, believing nothing.
Amen. We must be contrite of heart and open to Gods healing love.
"If you forget the sin, you will never remember the mercy." 7:05
Thank u so much for sharing your wisdom. Im 19 years old and I feel so lost in life, Im not even christian or catholic (Im agnostic), but your advices are helping me a lot. Monks way of living is truly beautiful.
I pray you will find your way. If you want to join us, please do. Find a rosary, learn it.
We are still human.
[sign of the cross] , "Bless me father for I have sinned..." -- I was taught in a Catholic school and this is how we start a confession. It's good because it puts a sense of order.
if someone is enjoying silence and being alone, wouldnt that contradict the sacrifice? you're enjoying the activity of being alone and in silence. shouldnt the person do the opposite instead?
Again, the point is not pain. We don’t do this to cause ourselves suffering. The goal IS to come to like these things because these things bring us closer to God. The more we practice them the more we conform our wills to God, which is the point.
@@BreakingInTheHabit thank you! :)
You just described my life, in your intro...I'm not a priest. I'm a laity...female...😐
Haha my pet peeves! I have been blessed with many priest friends and now i work for a congregation of nuns and people are always amazed when i talk about how they're all regular unique people with personalities! And yes sisters are a force to be reckoned with! Also, the church from its always sunny, im pretty sure is Sacred Heart church in Lincoln Heights (los angeles) 😊
Wow Fr. Casey I needed to hear this.
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 LOT'S OF RESPECT FOR YOU, AND LOTS OF LOVE AND PRAYERS FOR YOU AND FOR YOUR PARENTS FROM MY BELOVED COUNTRY INDIA 🇮🇳... FOR CHOOSING YOU THE LORD✝️ FOR HIS SERVICE....🙏🏿
God bless you father! Pray for atheists for they need the Lord and are lost
In a separate channel, Armor of God, an exorcist says that hauntings may be a soul asking for your prayers. He encouraged us to test that by asking the ghost to (1) affirm his love for Jesus and longing for his mercy (demons won't do this), and (2) affirm if he is asking for prayers. The affirmation may be a knocks on the door or moving things in case of poltergeists.
As a Protestant myself what are your thoughts on when Jesus says “do this in remembrance of me” I personally think that clarifies that the bread and wine he is giving the disciples is not actually his flesh and blood just something to do to remember him and honor him
Father Casey, you seem a bit young. How long have you been praying five hours a day?
Amen to that. Love the Lord.
Alright, cold shower people, is there a difference between cold showers and room temp showers? I’ve definitely done the latter before, but I really don’t think I can handle icy water leaving me shivering
Life changing video! Thank you❤
If ya don't have it, it's all you think about. Once you get it, meh. I'm not sure the RCC is the answer to all of this, but to each his or her own.
Saying you shouldn't do other devotions at mass is wild
